Many Christians don’t understand what Darwin said vs what social Darwinsts said why?
Author: admin // Category: darwin real estateI watched the movie Expelled for the first time and noticed that social Darwinism was confused with Darwin’s Natural Selection. Maybe Ben Stein did this on purpose I don’t know but the sick philosophy of Herbert Spencer has nothing to do with Darwin’s theory of Natural Selection. Ben Stein blended the two together in the movie calling them Darwinism…is he NUTS??? Now he has several people thinking they are one and the same..THEY ARE NOT …why all the obfuscation by Stein??.
To all "Christians" on this site: Darwin was a Christian Natural Philosopher that was used as a poster boy by the insane people such as Herbert Spencer. Spencer took what Darwin said totally out of context and he twisted Darwin’s words. it was Spencer that created the phrase "Survival of the Fittest". This later caused a movement in the United States. Spencer’s twisted views and those of Francis Galton who founded eugenics, were used by Hitler, Stalin, Lennon, Marxists, Robber baron’s industrialists such as John Jacob Astor (real estate) – New York City
Andrew Carnegie (steel) – Pittsburgh and New York
Jay Cooke (finance) – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Charles Crocker (railroads) – California
Daniel Drew (finance) – New York state
James Buchanan Duke (tobacco) – near Durham, North Carolina
James Fisk (finance) – New York state
Henry Morrison Flagler (railroads, oil, the Standard Oil company) – New York City and Palm Beach, Florida
Henry Clay Frick (steel) – Pittsburgh and New York City
John Warne Gates (steel)
Jay Gould (railroads)
Edward Henry Harriman (railroads) – New York state[6]
Milton S. Hershey (Chocolate)
Mark Hopkins (railroads) – California
J. P. Morgan (banking, finance, steel, industrial consolidation) New York City
Henry B. Plant (railroads) – Florida
John D. Rockefeller (oil) Standard Oil
John D. Spreckels (San Diego transportation, water, media) – San Diego, California

Darwin was totally against all of the things that Spencer read into his work.
Ben Stein should make a public apology and maybe read history before he puts out propaganda to people that don’t know any better.
Darwin held off publishing his book for years because he knew there were evil people out there that might twist what he had discovered and use it for evil.
Darwin was a natural philosopher not a scientist. The title scientist was created by Willian Whewell in 1836. He merged the terms science and artist. The purpose was to rid science of any Christian "bias" . The title natural philosopher was switched to scientist this marks the time when Christianity was taken out of science. For those that think that science did not originate from Christianity I challenge you to read Francis Bacon.
Enough said, Ben Stein should be ashamed of himself.
Science is science. Religion does not need to be brought up in the science classroom. People of science can practice their faiths outside of the science classroom. If not we would end up having to teach million creation myths before science could even enter the picture. Ben Stein made it appear that people were getting fired. I’ve been involved with science all my life and have never witnessed the issues that Stein made appear so widespread nor have I ever heard of a person of science being fired or blackballed. There are whinners out there that will claim all sorts of things when they can’t perform their jobs and they’ll do anything to get their voices heard. It is accepted in the science community that religion not be brought into conversation or technical papers. It serves no purpose and would affect credibility. Credibility is everything in science.
When a person goes to have surgery at a hospital do you think he would perfer a priest or a credible surgeon to do the operation?
Natural selection is a humanistic framework used to help understand nature. There are many things within the framework that are not understood. People of science must try to understand relationships among living things. Humanity and the natural world itself is at risk if we can’t come to terms with the complex workings of nature. We need to know these things because the the population of human beings increases exponentially and stress is placed on the envirnment. Science can be used for good or evil.
My point is that the movie made science out to be evil by confusing social Darwinism with Natural Selection. Science is what it is..objective. There exists evil and good in the world, Guns don’t shoot people ..people shoot people! Don’t blame the guns or use a crazy excuse to take them away. One day you’ll need them.
Ben Stein should shoot himself.
The money he spent on the film, he should’ve got himself an education.
Plus anyone who believes the movie, Ben Stein should pay for their education. He clearly screwed them in the head.
